At Tamkang High School, as a history teacher, I am blessed. Because "The story of Tamkang is endless." The source of such a unique humanistic heritage points to Dr. Mackay.
Teaching in Tamkang for several years, the office and the tutor classroom are located on the side of the Mackay Cemetery, often when reading with the children at night, across the corridor and the cemetery, between the yin and yang and light and dark, quite interesting; often think of the Ming Dynasty Gui Zhuang: "Four neighbors are the house of the underworld, how many people are few and how many ghosts." In this way, it is very suitable and interesting
This year coincided with the 150th anniversary of Dr. Mackay's arrival in Taiwan, and all units held a celebration ceremony. The children of Tamkang High School also decided to pay tribute to this great sage in their way, so they participated in the "2022 International CyberFair"; although the works are still immature, it can be seen that the children are trying to inherit the lofty ambitions of the Mackay spirit.
Several teachers also threw themselves into the guidance line at the right time, giving the children a little help and support them when they were out of their busy schedules, and hoping that the children of Tamkang would practice the attitude of humanistic care and social practice, so that they could "know the past, have a sense of reality, and have dreams about the future", to become a true Mackay successor to pass on the self-encouragement.
